
chicago – Six members of the University of Chicago women’s tennis team received 2023 All-Association accolades from the University Athletic Association (UAA) on Tuesday.
For the second consecutive year, Sylvia Mikos Was voted UAA Player of the Year. She was also First Team All-UAA in both singles and doubles. This year the No. 1 No. 1 is 21-3 with an 11-0 record in singles. Mikos has not lost to an NCAA Division III opponent this season.
shiana guo Was a First Team All-UAA pick in both singles and doubles for the second-straight season. 2 singles, the sophomore is 19–4 overall and 16–0 in duals. Mikos and Guo are 22–4 as a doubles tandem, with a 14–1 record at the No. 1 position.
nicole gellar Was a second team singles selection, occupying the No. 3 spot in the UChicago lineup. The sophomore was also a second team selection last year. He is 19–3 on the season, with a 14–0 mark in doubles.
Brooke Pedersen Achieved second team status in singles. Maroon is 21–1 on the rookie season, with a 17–0 record in dual matches, primarily at the No. 4 position.
Claudia Ng And peren wang The doubles pair claimed second team honors. The No. 2 pairing in the lineup has an overall record of 25-6, including 18-3 in doubles. This is the third All-UAA honor for Ng and the second for Wang.
