chicago – University of Chicago simon dixon Monday was selected as the Athlete of the Week by the University Athletic Association (UAA).
It is the fifth UAA weekly honor of the year for Dixon in men’s track and field. The Maroon rookie continued to impress in the throw at the University of St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite over the weekend. In a field of NCAA Division III and NAIA competitors, Dixon won the shot put with a top height of 16.25 m. He also threw the discus of 44.41 meters.
