Police began negotiations with an allegedly armed man barricading a Sunbury home on Magdalene Court on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 11am following reports of a serious dispute between two parties who were known to each other.
A man allegedly armed with a firearm later locked himself inside a property on Xavier Court, about 650 meters away.

Officers from the Special Operations Group entered the home at around 7pm and found the alleged gunman unresponsive (pictured, emergency responders on scene)
At around 7 pm, the Special Operations Group officers forcibly entered the house and found the man unresponsive.
Since then he has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
While the conversation was going on, seven news spoke with a man who claimed to own the alleged gunman’s home.
He said there were no firearms on the property and claimed the gunman was a recently released inmate in his thirties.
