The deal came together quickly after the nose tackle played the best season of his career in 2022 under Lawrence’s new regime. He dominated and finished with 68 tackles, a career-best 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
When Lawrence was on the field last year, the Giants allowed 4.9 yards per rush. When he was not, he allowed 6.2 yards per rush, according to ESPN Statistics and Information Research.
