A Rock Hill man has been charged in Friday’s fatal shooting in South Carolina. York County Sheriff People’s representatives said.
Sheriff Kevin Tolson told The Herald Saturday morning that deputies have charged Stephen Josiah Brooks, 34, of Rock Hill, with murder.
Trent Faris, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said the shooting happened Friday afternoon on Faires Road off McConnells Highway.
This area is southeast of Rock Hill.
The name of the victim has not been disclosed yet York County Coroner,
Brooks was taken into custody on murder charges at York County Jail, where he is being held without bail, online jail records show.
No other information has been released about the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
