ONE Championship not offering Francis Ngannou deal ‘it’s not personal’
Francis Nganu will not be fighting for the ONE Championship anytime soon.
According to ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong, the promotion will no longer be offering Ngannu a deal.
“I met with Francis yesterday for approximately 3 hours. ONE has decided to withdraw from the bidding process for the services of Francis Nagano.”
A few days ago, Sityotong teased that he would offer Ngannu a big deal, but that did not happen.
“After careful consideration, we have decided not to submit our final proposal. Francis is a good guy and a good champion. I wish him continued success and happiness,” Sityotong said. “At the end of the day, I didn’t feel Francis and I were completely aligned on non-financial matters. It’s not personal. It’s just a lack of alignment.
It’s unclear what Ngannu thinks of the news or where he will look next.
