Lake Nona, Fla. – The University of Chicago’s top-ranked women’s tennis program earned a 5-1 quarterfinal win over Carnegie Mellon at the NCAA Division III team championships on Sunday.

The undefeated Maroons beat CMU for the second time this season, advancing to the NCAA semifinals, the latter of which will take place on Tuesday, May 16. UChicago will take on fourth-ranked Middlebury on the line for the NCAA Championship at noon CT.

UChicago won 2-of-3 doubles matchups to take a 2-1 advantage in the singles portion of the contest. The Maroons got the first three complete singles to win 5–1.
