chicago – The University of Chicago women’s lacrosse team will host the opening two rounds of the NCAA Division III Championships Friday-Saturday, May 12-13, at Stagg Field.

The No. 17-ranked Maroons (16–2 record) were selected to host the season game for the third consecutive season. UChicago clinched an automatic berth in the NCAA Championship Region after defeating Carroll University 19–3 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) tournament final. The Maroons’ all-time record in three NCAA appearances is 3–2.

With UChicago getting a bye in the first round, Friday’s action will feature Denison University (9-10) versus Hope College (12-5). The winner will play the host Maroons on the Stagg Field turf on Saturday.
