In this week’s edition of the ETF Issuer League, BondBlox in particular stood out among its peers. Fixed income mavens leaned almost entirely on just one ETF for the week’s flow. BondBlox Bloomberg One Year Target Duration US Treasury ETF (XONE) According to VettaFi, $514.3 million was added in the last week. However, no other BondBlox ETF added more than $2 million.

BondBlox Bloomberg Six Month Target Duration US Treasury ETF (XHLF) Seen – $253 million in total last week, possibly the source of XONE’s inflow. And this brought BondBlox’s ETF AUM to $1.46 billion in AUM, a 20% increase from $1.2 billion the week before, for example.
According to VettaFi, all the AUM growth is due to fund inflows. So the week’s inflows are likely to come from a single buy as XONE adds $463 million to its inflows on May 5th Lonely.
The ETF issuer league table helps give context to how large the weekly inflows total is compared to BondBlox’s peers. In comparison, the next biggest inflow on the table came for American Century Investments at $23.8 billion AUM, adding $517 million for the week. American Century’s Avantis Investors Suite continued to perform in flow for the week. Avantis International Small Cap Value ETF (AVDV) At the time it took a lead of $231 million.

Duration and returns on the radar
Talking about the mid-tier, market watchers can keep an eye on the pairing of Allianz Investment Management LLC and Northern Trust. The pair is sitting just above the $20 billion ETF AUM threshold, making for a particularly interesting trend to watch. Allianz saw large inflows of both, strongly adding $127 million.
Those flows were more evenly distributed overall than flows into XONE, and no ETF added more than $30 million. PIMCO Enhanced Short Maturity Active ETF (MINT) $27.7 million added during the week, supported by $24.6 million AllianzIM US Large Cap Buffer 10 May ETF (MAYT),
Overall, the BondBlox ETF story and Allianz ETF flow suggest continued interest in short-term returns. Market watchers should look for the right period and consider American Century’s own fixed income offering,
