Indian festivals are incomplete without the foods and drinks associated with them, and Holi comes with a big glass of chilled thandai. This refreshing drink is made from a mixture of nuts, spices, and milk, and is often sweetened with sugar or honey. While thandai can be a delicious treat, it can also be high in calories and sugar. How to make thandai at home?

Component:

*1 cup low fat milk
* 1/4 cup almonds
* 1/4 cup cashews
* 1/4 cup pistachios
* 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
* 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
* 2 tbsp fennel
* 2 tbsp poppy seeds
* 2 tbsp cardamom powder
* 2 tbsp rose water
* 1-2 tsp honey

start by Soaking AlmondsSoak cashews, pistachios, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in water for at least 3-4 hours. This will soften the nuts and make them easier to mix.

Drain the water and put the soaked nuts and seeds in a blender. Add 1/2 cup water and mix until you get a smooth paste.

In a large bowl, whisk together the walnut and seed paste, fennel seeds, poppy seeds, cardamom powder, rose water, and honey. mix well. You can add any other type healthy seeds For your cool

Add milk gradually and whisk until well combined. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more milk or water to thin it out. Use a hand blender or juggle using two glasses to get a perfect consistency.

Serve the thandai chilled, sprinkled with some chopped nuts and cardamom powder. You can also garnish with some rose petals.

*You can use almond milk or coconut milk to make thandai even healthier instead of dairy milk,
