The former Australian of the Year, 28, is usually seen wearing her blonde hair in a tight bun but decided to reveal her Rapunzel length locks at the Darwin event.
Photos showed Grace posing with her fellow guests with her hair down her hip in a dramatic side parting.
Grace’s hair is looking thicker and longer than usual, which suggests she may have recently enhanced her look with hair extensions.
Grace is currently on a promotional tour for her best-selling memoir The Ninth Life of a Diamond Miner, which she released in September.

The book follows Grace’s experiences from childhood and through her work as an activist to expose her sexual abuse and be crowned Australian of the Year in 2021.
The book’s description reads, ‘In 2021, Grace stepped into the public eye as Australian of the Year, and was the catalyst for a tidal wave of conversation and action.’

Grace is due to speak during the Truly Autistic Conference at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday with Chloe Hayden and Jack den Houting.
it comes after Grace recently shot down rumors of a split from her fiance Max Herre By sharing their pictures on Instagram.
The breakup chatter made headlines last month when it was revealed that Herre had left the board of the Grace Teme Foundation, a non-profit organization that Grace helped set up in 2021.

Hitting back at the split rumors via Instagram, Grace shared several photos and a video of Herre playing with his pet cat Iggy and dog Zappa.
‘Choose Your Fighter!!! Our growing family,’ Grace wrote in the caption.
The couple confirmed that they were engaged in January last year.
