Targeting its top creators, the company on Wednesday introduced a new program for its website contributors, or administrators, aimed at helping them learn how to enhance their wiki sites. Creators can now access behind-the-scenes videos showing how the platform works, and Fandom staffers will provide tips on content development and marketing. Creators also gain access to a resource guide that includes a series of challenges and hints.
Senior Social Media Coordinator Miranda Fal will lead the first quarterly workshop and will focus on teaching creators how to grow their social media presence. The workshop will be held later this year.
Fandom says its next workshop will likely discuss streaming and video creation.
Plus, creator class sessions will showcase the best wiki sites created by top contributors and admins to inspire others to scale their own campaigns.

Michael Chiang, Fandom’s chief business officer, told TechCrunch that Memory Alpha will likely be a useful example for other creators on how to do that.
“It’s one of those things where in this new age of structured and relational data, it’s [something] We want to do more. i think someday there might be a creator class [Memory Alpha], If this is something you want to do on your wiki… [how] They did it and the way we are supporting them at the back end,” Chiang said.
The creator is a part of the class fandom stars programWhich was launched last year to recognize the hard work of its most dedicated contributors and provide them with workshops, awards and exclusive experiences such as screenings and conventions, in addition to other entertainment and gaming events.
The company told us that there are currently 230 contributors who are considered stars. Fandom predicts that it will have over 400 stars by the end of 2023.
Earlier this week, Fandom also announced the launch of seven new shows for gamers and entertainment fans. Gaming fandom has the largest audience, with 150 million monthly visitors.
The first two shows to premiere were “Honest Trailer Presents”, a new spin on screen junkies‘ popular “Honest“series, and”Kurt Locker,” where GameSpot’s senior producer Kurt Indovina Explores current gaming trends,
Screen Junkies is a YouTube channel with 6.8 million subscribers. it was acquired by Fandom in 2018. Known for its “honest” web series that parody movie and TV trailers, Screen Junkies is revamping the series to include TV theme songs, celebrities and commercials. According to each fandom, the web series has around one million views each week.

The first episode of “The Curt Locker” was released on May 2 and was titled “Are There Too Many Remakes?” Indovina talks about how many video games released in 2023 – like Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space – are either remakes or remastered games. Episodes air every Tuesday.

- Challenge Accepted (TBD): Content creators and GameSpot employees team up to compete in various gaming challenges, such as beating Mario while using a Guitar Hero controller.
The new GameSpot show will air simultaneously on its website, YouTube channel and fandom platforms.
During this, metacritic Launching the “Metacritic Review Lab” fandom entertainment youtube Channel, where fandom reviewers and data experts analyze new movie releases, such as “Across the Spiderverse,” “Fast X,” “Indiana Jones 5” and “The Little Mermaid.” Metacritic will release two or three episodes per month.
