Indian Wells, California – Jagger Leach, 15-year-old son of three-time major champion Lindsay DavenportLost in the second round of the FILA International Junior Championships.
Leach was beaten 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 by ninth seed Stiles Brockett on Wednesday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, where Leach’s mother reached the final of a six-time pro tournament. She won twice.
Leach is tied for the most ITF junior singles titles this year, with three titles won in New Zealand. He has an 18-1 record this year and is ranked 205 in the world junior rankings.
The Indian Wells amateur event is being held in conjunction with the BNP Paribas Open for the first time, which consists of the joint ATP and WTA tours.
Leach is the oldest child and only son of Davenport, a former No. 1 ranked player and Olympic gold medalist. She and her husband John also have three daughters.
Leach is the latest child to follow in his parents’ footsteps as a successful pro player.

In 2020, Leach was in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Hawaii in which he suffered a severe compound fracture of his femur. He required several blood transfusions and was in the hospital for eight days after suffering complications from the surgery.
He made a full recovery and resumed tennis, along with running, surfing and golfing.
