Beauty lovers are obsessed with $9 dupes for $62 Dior lipbalms: ‘You can’t tell the difference’
- Shoppers Are Coming to Aldi for Lacura Beauty Ultra Glow Lip Balm
- It’s been dubbed a makeup ‘must have’ by thousands
Shoppers have been fooled by a $9.99 lip balm that has been called a ‘true hoax’ of a high-end product worth six times its price.
AldiThe Lacura Beauty Ultra Glow Lip Balm comes in Sheer Pink, Coral Red, and Runway Red and has been compared to Dior’s $62 Addict Lip Glo Lip Balm.
Beauty lovers claim that its colour, formulation and packaging make it the ‘perfect’ budget alternative to the popular gloss.
The Aldi dupe, which is available for a limited period each year, has become even more popular since Dior Gloss was labeled a makeup ‘must-have’.

Aldi Australia recently re-stocked its Lacura Beauty Ultra Glow Lip Balm ($9.99) in Sheer Pink, Coral Red, and Runway Red shades.

A Sydney shopper made a budget purchase during a recent trip to Aldi.
‘I am so excited because Aldi has brought back Dior Lip Balm Dupes,’ Yasmin said in a video. ‘I missed it last time, so I’m very keen to try it.’
She also swatched the products on her hands and demonstrated its hydrating formula.
Skye, another beauty lover, also tried on the product after being reluctant to spend $62 on Dior lip balm.
‘It’s really a hoax,’ she said after applying the product. ‘I Love My Dior Balm, But I Couldn’t Bring Myself To Spend [$62] Then – it’s unfair.’
She added, ‘It smells great and hydrating, and the color is so nice.’
Many others were extremely excited to re-stock and couldn’t wait to try out the Aldi Special Buy.
One shopper said, ‘I bought Sheer Pink last time and it’s perfect for anyone who wants a lighter shade of pink.’ ‘It also tastes like a Tattoo Roll Up, which is always amazing.’
Another wrote, ‘I want red, the color is very beautiful.’
A third added: ‘The packaging is almost identical – one can’t even remotely tell the difference!’
Another said, ‘It’s so cheap and feels just like the original.’ ‘Beautiful product.’
