A minor earthquake was recorded off the west coast of Vancouver Island on Wednesday morning.
The United States Geological Survey says a magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck at 2:04 a.m.
The earthquake was centered about 181 kilometers out to sea off Port McNeil, BC, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There were no reports of the quake being felt at the USGS site.
Tsunami is not expected.
